Culture is defined as the act of developing the intellectual and moral faculties especially education, enlightenment and excellence of taste acquired by intellectual and aesthetic training. Uncultured is defined as lacking in delicacy or refinement. There are cultural norms for emotions, when experiencing these emotions any cultured person would ask themselves the following questions; what emotions are considered to be good or bad? Which should be more prevalent? How should I feel when I encounter a certain event? Does being criticized lead to anger or embarrassment? How should I act when I experience a certain emotion? Does anger manifest as aggression or withdrawal? When one is uncultured they may ask themselves this question; do I really give a fuck? If a society relies on a culture that has unwritten rules and guidelines, then society must come to terms with the fact that those rules and guidelines will be broken by the uncultured. When the uncultured continues to experience misfortune, their inward life does not,”become a perpetually repeated round of sad and bitter thoughts; the same words, the same scenes...” but rather we come to start to question society and the cultured. What makes them so much greater? Just because they live in rich expensive homes and went to expensive, elitist schools doesn’t not make them better. The uncultured question authority, and refuse to conform. We unschool ourselves from your way of thought. I guess that is what I want to represent, the revolutionaries. The ones who want to change this cesspool we live in.
